Though the finer details are still obscured by the mists of time, the general consensus among historians is that the first Datura Child spawned sometime in the fifteenth century. His mother was said to be a witch who dedicated her life to mastering the arcane art of pyromancy in order to self-immolate while being led to the stake to burn, stealing her destiny back from her captors while taking control of theirs. His father was a datura-induced hallucination. His transition from the waters of the womb to the blood of the covenant was an oddly seamless one, as the primordial oceans he inhabited were tainted with remnants of the datura and nightshade ointment that coated the broomsticks upon which is mother once flew. These waters were devoid of the abyssal calm that the unborn would normally meditate within in preparation for life on earth. Instead, the embryonic Datura Child swam through waters plagued with the aphotic demons of the planet's deepest ancient nightmares, beings who continued to inhabit the Child as he ventured into this world and beyond. This is similar to the modern day concept of the crack baby, except more fragrant and infinitely more harrowing.
